BENEFIT CONCERT TO HOSPITALIZED KIDS

MCP Will Stream Annual Fund-Raising Event Live

from Seattle's Triple Door Nightclub on September 6

Melodic Caring Project (www.melodiccaringproject.org), the Seattle-based organization that streams live concert events directly to hospitalized children, will join forces with singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile to stream a special concert benefitting Carlile's own Looking Out Foundation.   Raise the Roof 2013, the charity's 5th annual fund-raiser, will take place on Friday, September 6 at the Triple Door nightclub in Seattle, presented by AgainToday.com.

Tickets for the event are already sold out, but Brandi Carlile fans will be able to access the live stream of the event by making a donation at the AgainToday website (www.againtoday.com). With their donation, they will be sent the URL for the live streamed concert on the day of the show. While watching the concert they will be able to send messages of love and support to the kids in their hospital rooms via a live-chat on the streaming channel.

Carlile founded the Looking Out Foundation in 2008 with a mission of supporting humanitarian outreach efforts in local communities via music. She and her fans have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the art-based foundation since its inception, thereby channeling resources to organizations that support the arts, women, public health, the hungry and the homeless. The IF Project, Maple Valley Food Bank, Fight the Fear Campaign, Why Hunger and others are among the organizations that have received support from the Looking Out Foundation.

The Seattle-based Melodic Caring Project (MCP), a non-profit founded by musician Levi Ware and his wife Stephanie, brings the healing

power of music directly to the hospital beds of critically-ill children. Launched two years ago, this unique marriage of music and technology has presented more than 100 live music events to kids in hospitals across the US and globe. Through their partnership with Starlight Children's Foundation NW MCP has brought the healing power of music to kids in hospitals throughout the Northwest.

"We are so excited about this collaboration, and it gives Raise the Roof a whole new meaning," says Catherine Shepherd, Executive Director of Carlile's Looking Out Foundation. Last year's Raise the Roof event raised over $30,000, and Carlile hopes to

exceed that number this year.
